Kai Cenat was born in the city of New York. He has three siblings as well younger brother, an older brother, and a twin sister. Frederick Douglass Academy was where he finished his secondary education. Kai received his diploma in 2019. Later, he enrolled in New York State University to complete his Business Administration degree. He dropped out of college in 2010 due to a conflict between his studies and content creation.
On January 13, 2018, he uploaded his first YouTube video. Later, in order to gain more subscribers, he began making prank and challenge videos. After discovering his fellow Bronx-born YouTuber Fanum, he even joined the YouTube group AMP (Any means possible). He began appearing regularly with his new videos after joining the group. He later joined the Twitch platform in 2021, where he posts gaming content. He also appeared in the Polo G trailer single Distraction. In the year 2022, he and New Choppa released their first debut single, “Bust Down Rollie Avalanche.”
